Taiga is a Global File System for non-regulated data. It facilitates researchers having access to their active data on multiple systems at the same time.
Granite is a Tape Archive system that provides researchers with a place for long-term retention of non-regulated datasets. All data in Granite is replicated to two tapes for protection.
Taiga and Granite are closely integrated to make it easier for researchers to move data between them.

All one year allocations are typically renewable.
