Illinois High-Throughput Computing (HTC)
Description
The Illinois Campus Cluster program has introduced a High-Throughput Computing (HTC) service, powered by the open-source workload manager HTCondor. HTC environments are designed for projects that require extensive computing cycles over long periods, focusing on the quantity of completed jobs rather than the speed of individual tasks. The HTC service currently only includes CPUs but there are plans to incorporate GPUs in the future.
